Course Information
Successful completion of the course will enable Level 1 testers to apply to register as a Level 2 tester with a Competent Persons Scheme as per, buildings requiring a Level 2 tester are defined as ‘non-simple’ with an internal volume greater than 4000 cubic meters.
The IRT’s Air Tightness Training Level 2 will comprise:
- L1 refresher
- Specifics of National Occupational Standards AST ATT 4
- Complex envelope calculation
- Identifying ‘zones’ & air barriers
- Multi-fan set-up and connections
- Multi-fan software usage
- Overcoming common problems
The course content is provided over over 3 Days consisting of theory and practical elements, with the final day including practical and written examinations to complete the course.
- Timed open book multiple choice theory
- Envelope/volume calculation
- Practical multi-fan set-up/data collection/generating software result.
