Elmhurst’s ABBE (Awarding Body of the Built Environment) qualification course provides a fantastic opportunity for those completely new to and familiar with the world of energy and building assessment, to become a level 3 qualified Air Conditioning Inspector.
All air conditioning systems with an effective rated output of more than 12kw must be regularly inspected by an energy assessor. These inspections must be no more than five years apart.
This classroom based Level 3 qualification course will equip individuals with the skills and knowledge required to complete Air Conditioning Inspection Reports on packaged, split and multi-split packaged cooling equipment, including variable refrigerant flow (VRF) equipment. Individuals will also be able to provide advice on how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
Upon successful completion of the Air Conditioning Inspector training and a signed off portfolio, individuals will be deemed qualified, and will be eligible to join Elmhurst’s Air Conditioning Inspection Scheme. Only individuals who are registered with an accreditation scheme are able to produce legally valid Air Conditioning Inspection Reports.
