Train to become a Level 1 Airtightness tester for new builds under Part L of the Building Regulations, with Elmhurst’s new Level 1 Airtightness Testing training course.
Air Leakage within buildings has become an integral part of the new build process and testing buildings under pressure indicates the performance of that building (air permeability value) along with highlighting areas of uncontrolled air leakage that may be occurring. Building regulation changes from the 15th June 2022 will require all new build dwellings to be tested, which means there’s never been a better time to become an Airtightness Tester!
This course qualifies you to test buildings to a Level 1 status that includes simple buildings up to the size of 4000m3. The course will cover a background to the industry and then introduce the principles of testing and the regulations / standards that control the process. The equipment needed will be explained and introduced and a practical test will be carried out on day 3.
This course is delivered over a 3 day period and attendance is required at our Training Centre in Lutterworth.
